Red Wine & Chocolate: The Healthiest Indulgence
You only live once, and you deserve to enjoy the life you live! But there are many things we consume in life’s enjoyments that can backtrack us from the goals we’re trying to achieve. Where we deserve to relax and let loose, we don’t want to offset any progress we’ve made. Many of our cravings can be satisfied through foods our bodies feel fulfilled consuming. Whenever I’m craving something sweet or want to treat myself, my go-tos are dark chocolate and high quality reds.
Cardio vs. Strength Training
What's better, cardio or strength training? The most asked question when it comes to exercise. While many people may have their personal beliefs on what's better, the science is pretty obvious; strength training first, cardio second.

How To Train Your Brain
This past year I’ve had the amazing opportunity to study with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and receive my Holistic Health Coach certification. In this certification, the aspect of human bio-individuality is emphasized. All humans are unique and deserve to be treated as such, there’s no one-size-fits-all way approach that magically fixes everyone's problems. There are many suggested ways of living that encompass the majority of human life, but the true key to unlocking personal success is acquiring a level of intuition to one's body and what it needs.

My DAILY Bowl
Every day varies in its responsibilities, its to-do list, and its energy level. I like to take every day as it comes, but there's one staple meal I try to have at least once a day, and it’s my all time favorite salmon and veggie rice bowl. It’s important that no matter what your day's trajectory is to get in those essential vitamins and nutrients your body thrives on. It’s fuel for you to take on life's days! And making this delicious bowl does just that. Satiating, flavorful, it's something both your body and your soul will love. Taste doesn't have to be lost while cooking healthy, it can be quite the opposite actually! The more you accustom your palette to healthier ways of eating, your flavor profile grows, and your desire for those overly processed foods diminishes. Real recognizes real, after all.

New Year Evolution
As the new year arrives, we reflect on the year we closed out. New years can bring up feelings of regret and discouragement of missed opportunities and accomplishments, and can come with pressure on how we must change in some capacity. It’s a time where we were just surrounded by people to celebrate holidays that can trigger some suppressed feelings we’ve held in throughout the year. Now all this sounds negative in its perspective of this time of year, but it’s the reality for so many of us. It’s a reality that should not be shamed, but it’s a reality I’m out to help improve in any way I can.

Intermittent Fasting - Why You Should Give Your Digestion a Break
The trend that’s hit the health scene full speed recently, but has actually been practiced for centuries, is the concept of fasting. Various forms of fasting have been used throughout time as spiritual rituals and health practices, but the form I’m focusing on (the form everyone wants to know about) is intermittent fasting. Is it genuinely good for my health? Is it going to be a sustainable way to lose excess body fat? Lets dive deeper into the concept and see if it’s something you want to try on for size!
